LOVE him or hate him, there is no denying that former US Secretary of State and national security adviser Henry Kissinger, who passed away at the age of 100 on November 29, left a mark on the world so profound it can only be compared to two or three figures in history. And it could be fairly argued that Kissinger's globe-spanning influence even surpassed the likes of Richelieu, Talleyrand or Metternich. Though he is gone, Kissinger leaves behind a long shadow, one that shapes even the Philippines' place in the world, and will have an impact for years to come.
