MINING companies' scholarships for the children of underprivileged families help make an impact on preserving the environment where the firms operate.
"Often, it is the legitimate and responsible miners who, with better and stronger mining policies in place to protect the environment and communities, take a sustainable approach in tapping the country's mineral wealth," the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines said in a statement.
