BEIJING: China's Defense Ministry said on Thursday that the United States should stop interfering in Taiwan, arguing that American arms sales to Taipei were making the situation more dangerous.
The island's ruling Democratic Progressive Party is "turning Taiwan into a weapons depot and a powder keg," said Senior Col. Wu Qian, the ministry's top spokesman.
