GIVING and loving is the message of the incoming December season. While we Muslims don't have Christmas celebrations, charity is a pillar of our faith. Some of us are involved in the Muslim-Christian dialogue and are parents whose children go to Catholic schools.

It is timely to remind the Christian majority that Jesus is important to Islam. We remember him this season as he sacrificed and accompanied the weakest, forgotten and untouchables of society. He is a holy figure who bound all of us Jews, Christians and Muslims.
