NATO: 'No alternative' to helping Kyiv stop Putin

BRUSSELS: North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Monday the West had 'no alternative' but to keep backing Ukraine's fight against Russia, in the face of doubts over American support for Kyiv.

'It very often happens in wars that when people realize that this may last a long time, of course, that is demanding, that is difficult,' Stoltenberg told Agence France-Presse (AFP) in an interview at the military alliance's headquarters in Belgium's capital Brussels.
