ABOUT P6.8 million worth of assistance was delivered to the farmers and fisherfolk in south-central Mindanao affected by the earthquake, the Department of Agriculture (DA) announced on Tuesday, November 28.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. led the distribution of immediate assistance on November 24 to aid farmers' recovery from the 6.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Sarangani, Davao Occidental and a large section of Mindanao.
