MBC exec: Red tape holding back competitiveness

RED tape, particularly at the local government level, continues to hamper the ease of doing business in the Philippines, a business executive claimed last week.

The country, Makati Business Club (MBC) Chairman Edgar Chua told reporters on Friday, had yet to achieve 'half' of what was envisioned when the 2018 Ease of Doing Business Law was drawn up and approved.
