BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei's overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) in August decreased by 0.1 percent year on year, the latest statistical figures released on Saturday have shown.
According to the country's Department of Economic Planning and Statistics at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the CPI drop was in line with the decrease in the non-food index by 0.6 percent, which was driven by the drop in transport (3.5 percent), communication (3.1 percent), and clothing and footwear (1.3 percent).
