33 smugglers nabbed in Batangas

CAMP BGEN VICENTE P. LIM, Calamba City: Combined personnel from various law enforcement agencies in Batangas and Cavite dismantled a big-time syndicate allegedly responsible for large-scale smuggling of cigarettes in Philippine markets following the arrest of 33 suspects in two separate operations on Thursday, November 23, in Agoncillo, Batangas.

First to fall among the suspects were three alleged cigarette smugglers who were apprehended during an early morning buy-bust in Barangay Adia in Agoncillo town.
