Ampatuan Jr. convicted of graft

MANILA, Philippines: The Sandiganbayan's Sixth Division convicted Datu Andal Uy Ampatuan Jr. of 21 counts of graft.

In a 96-page decision promulgated on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, the court found Ampatuan guilty beyond reasonable doubt of violating Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and sentenced him to six years and one month up to 10 years in prison for each count.
