THE Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) is eyeing at least 3.5 hectares in Central Luzon as additional area for the plantation of around 700,000 coconut trees in the coming years.

Dennis Andres, PCA regional manager for Regions 1 (Ilocos Region), 2 (Cagayan Valley), 3 (Central Luzon) and the Cordillera region, disclosed during the 6th Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Regional Trade Fair that the plan is set to take off next year and will be implemented between three and five years.
