Floods hit 5 Eastern Visayas provinces

THOUSANDS of residents in five provinces of Eastern Visayas cried for help as chest-deep floods inundated their homes following three days of relentless torrential rain.

Search and rescue teams were mobilized to reach trapped residents, some on their rooftops to escape cascading floodwaters.
