Duterte-Carpio launches children's book 'Isang Kaibigan'

VICE President and concurrent Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio recently led the celebration of the 2023 Pambansang Araw ng Pagbasa (National Day of Reading) where she also introduced a children's book that she penned herself.

In her speech at the event, the vice president and DepEd secretary announced that schools would have a 'catch-up day' every Friday when students and teachers would focus on reading activities and improving comprehension.
