MANILA, Philippines: THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted rescue operations in various parts of Northern Samar in response to the escalating flooding situation caused by heavy rains attributed to the shear line and low-pressure area (LPA).
In a report issued on Wednesday, the PCG said at least 400 residents in five adjacent villages in Catarman have so far been evacuated.
