JG Summit's Merbau finishes solar project

MERBAU Corp., a renewable energy unit of JG Summit Holdings Inc., on Tuesday reported the completion of a 13.811-megawatt-peak solar energy facility in Barangay Simlong and Barangay Pinamucan Ibaba in Batangas City.

Merbau said the project highlighted its commitment to sustainability and provide the energy requirements of a fully integrated petrochemical complex housing JG Summit Olefins Corp.'s manufacturing plants and the packaging division of Universal Robina Corp. (URC).
