'Biden-Xi meeting should lower tensions in AsPac'

SAN FRANCISCO, California: The 92-year-old businessman who represented Taiwan at this week's summit of Asia-Pacific leaders in San Francisco hoped on Friday that the meeting between United States President Joe Biden and China's Xi Jinping would help to reduce tensions between the two superpowers and in the region.

Morris Chang, founder of microchip giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., also suggested the meeting could help promote economic stability and reliable supply chains.
