BACOLOD CITY: Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson approved Negros Oriental's request for a swap of regional offices when the Negros Island Region (NIR) is implemented.
Lacson said Negros Oriental wants the regional offices of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to be transferred to the capital city of Dumaguete City in exchange for the regional offices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DoH).
