MANILA, Philippines: Chloe Mercado showcased her promising tennis prowess by securing the girls' 16-and-under singles crown in the 40th PCA (Philippine Columbian Association) Open at PCA courts in Plaza Dilao, Paco recently.
Mercado, 15, demonstrated an outstanding all-around game, defeating Sandra Bautista with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory in the finals to clinch the top honors in her age-bracket in the annual championship that drew the participation of the country's leading and rising junior players.
