A MORO National Liberation Front (MNLF) member who survived a stroke received financial support from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 10 (Northern Mindanao) on Monday in an effort to guarantee that the government supports former combatants.

"From Cagayan de Oro, a team of DSWD social workers traveled to a hospital in Marawi City, where the MNLF combatant was confined, to personally hand him the government's financial aid," DSWD Undersecretary Alan Tanjusay said on Tuesday to the media.
