DBM allots almost P20B to DSWD protective services

DEPARTMENT of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman announced that a sum of P19.97 billion has been earmarked for the Protective Services for Individuals and Families in Difficult Circumstances (PSIFDC) program, an initiative put forth by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the proposed 2024 national budget.

The funding aims to provide crucial financial assistance to an estimated 3.9 million beneficiaries across the country.
