SC orders Sinsuat to explain side

THE Supreme Court has ordered former Maguindanao del Norte governor Bai Fatima Ainee Sinsuat to show cause why she should not be cited in contempt for her failure to promptly inform the high court of her appointment, oath taking and assumption as vice governor of the said province.

Sinsuat, elected as Maguindanao vice governor in the May 9, 2022 elections, assumed governor of the newly created province of Maguindanao del Norte following the September 2022 plebiscite that split the province into two.
