THE Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) affirms that water districts are autonomous agencies independent of local government units.
This is in relation to the ongoing row at the Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD), wherein the chairman and two members of the MCWD Board of Trustees have been replaced by the Cebu City government without a confirmation of validity from LWUA.
