TWO-TIME Asian powerlifting champion Aeron Paul Casamayor of New Era University (NEU) bagged three gold medals and registered new International University Sports Federation (FISU) records at the Men's 59 kg event of the International Powerlifting Federation University World Cup (IPF-UWC) in Slovenia.

Casamayor, a Bachelor of Science in Criminology student, is the first Filipino to have competed and won the top honors – for Squat: 200.0 kg, Deadlift: 230.0 kg, and Total: 532.5 kg – in the university-based world powerlifting tourney.
