MANILA, Philippines: The Office of the Ombudsman will investigate the reported issuance of Philippine passports, tax identification numbers (TIN), and other government identification cards (IDs) to foreigners.
In an interview with reporters after attending the Senate deliberations on the proposed 2024 national budget of his office, Ombudsman Samuel Martires said that they will investigate even without a formal complaint filed.
