E-Bikes may compete with scooters

FROM THE DASHBOARD

SCOOTERS, underbones and small bikes currently dominate our roads and are the most numerous motor vehicles in the country. Despite their small size, their carbon footprint may not be as negligible as the owners and sellers of these bikes would have us believe.

Motorcycles consume as much fuel as regular cars, because while the former may use less fuel, the amount of carbon emissions per liter of fuel burned is not significantly different, possibly even more due to difference in combustion efficiency.
