THE Commission on Elections' (Comelec) proclamation of Roberto Uy Jr. as the duly elected representative of the first district of Zamboanga del Norte on orders of the Supreme Court may trigger a constitutional crisis amid unresolved motions for reconsideration (MRs) related to the congressional dispute.

"The motions for reconsideration left unresolved by the Supreme Court will result in a constitutional crisis which is disruptive of the jurisprudential precepts laid down by no less than the honorable high court," said lawyer Edward Gialogo, lead counsel of former Rep. Rome Jalosjos Jr.
