THE Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) has asked the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and other concerned agencies of the government to go after a Manila-based placement operator for illegal collection of fees from students bound for Taipei under the Taiwan government's scholarship program.

MECO Chairman Silvestre Bello 3rd also requested the DMW to blacklist JS Contractor, a recruitment agency in Intramuros, for deceiving the young scholars.
