MERALCO zoomed to a 2-0 record after the first week of action in the PBA Season 48 Commissioner's Cup.

The Bolts beat the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, followed by the Blackwater Bossing this week, with Nigerian American import Suleiman Braimoh leading the way after averaging 37 points and 15 rebounds in an overpowering effort.
