How goes America's agenda in the Philippines?

AFTER an initial setback, the United States is proceeding apace in harnessing our country for its top global priority, which is spelled out in the US National Security Strategy from the White House: 'Out-Competing China and Constraining Russia.'

Last year, America's agenda seemed derailed when its preferred leader, then-vice president Ma. Leonor 'Leni' Robredo, lost heavily to Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who seemed set to continue the Rodrigo Duterte administration's independent foreign policy.
