Masbate election officer in hot water

AN election officer in the province of Masbate is in hot water for failure to heed the order of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc to cancel the certificate of candidacy (CoC) of a candidate for barangay chairman by a court decision which is final and executory.

Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Thursday that the Comelec en banc has already ordered an administrative investigation against the election officer of Aroroy, Masbate, "for her failure to delete/remove/cancel the name of Aniano Pancho Capinig" in the certified list of candidates pursuant to Minute Resolution No. 23-0735."
