PALO, Leyte: In observance of the 10th anniversary of Super Typhoon 'Yolanda' (Haiyan) landfall here, the World Food Program (WFP) gave various types of disaster response equipment to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8 (Eastern Visayas).

The United States Agency for International Development (USAid) and the WFP were among the important partners of the DSWD in strengthening the nation's emergency preparedness and response, and fostering community resilience during a formal handover ceremony on Wednesday in Palo, Leyte.
