AT the fourth leg of the Search and Rescue Unit Foundation Inc. (Saruf)'s 'Disaster preparedness: Basic life support and first-aid' training program and caravan, 100 youth leaders, community elders and religious leaders gathered on Nov. 2, 2023.

An advocacy partnership between Saruf and The Manila Times (TMT), the disaster preparedness program and first-aid training was held at the World Changers Church in the Pangasinan municipality of Manaoag, known to those in the Luzon provinces as the 'pilgrim center of the north.' 'Disaster preparedness: Basic life support and first-aid' was led by Saruf Regional Director for Northern Luzon Rolando Santiago.
