LEGAZPI CITY: A lawmaker here said he will push the amendment of the local government code to give the newly elected barangay officials a five-year term.
Albay 3rd District Rep. Fernando Cabredo said he, along with Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez, Wowo Fortes of Sorsogon and Leo Rodriguez of Catanduanes will seek to amend the local government code to give the new barangay officials longer terms.
