A low-pressure area (LPA) has been spotted off Palawan and is expected to bring a significant amount of rain in some parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Thursday.
Weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said the LPA, estimated some 395 kilometers west-southwest of Puerto Princesa, also in the province, would not directly affect the entire archipelago.
