INFLATION will likely ease further in the last two months of the year following a better-than-expected October result, analysts said.

"We expect [the] CPI (consumer price index) to continue soothing in the months ahead due to favorable base effects, and with global rice and oil prices finally easing after flaring up in the last two months," HSBC Global Research economist Aris Dacanay said.
