For one, the 2022-23 Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference awardee missed several games in the Commissioner's Cup after undergoing a procedure to repair a laryngeal fracture he sustained following an inadvertent elbow from Rain or Shine import Steve Taylor Jr. in October last year.
