NUEVA Ecija Rice Vanguards team owner Bong Cuevas offered no excuses as his team relinquished their title in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 5th Season.

The Rice Vanguards got swept by the San Juan Knights in their best-of-3 North semifinals series following their 80-88 Game 2 loss last Friday at their home turf Nueva Ecija Coliseum.
