2023 export target 'difficult to achieve'

THE target for exports this year under the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023-2028 will be difficult to achieve, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said.

Speaking at the virtual media briefing on Friday evening, Bianca Sykimte, the director of the DTI-Export Marketing Bureau, said the 2023 export target of $126.8 billion across all sectors under the PEDP 2023-2028 is unlikely to be achieved by the end of the year.
