Mayor wants Iligan to be Islamic finance hub

ILIGAN City Mayor Frederick Siao has called on the Department of Finance, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and the country's universal banks to consider his city as an 'ideal gateway' for Islamic banking and finance.

Mayor Siao said this is owing to the city's crucial link to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and Western Mindanao.
