MANILA, Philippines: The Senate and the House of Representatives convened on Saturday morning for a special session and passed two resolutions: Senate Resolution 15 to invite Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to address the joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and Senate Resolution 17 to convene the joint session.

The special session lasted for 17 minutes, after which the senators led by Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri proceeded to the House of Representatives at the Batasan Complex for the joint session to hear the address of Kishida at 11a.m.
