Eala advances to semifinal at ITF tournament in France

MANILA, Philippines: Filipina tennis ace Alexandra 'Alex' Eala advanced to the semifinal of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) France 22A women's singles event in Nantes.

The 19th Asian Games double bronze medalist defeated third-seeded Leolia Jeanjean of France on Thursday in the quarterfinals via a walkover, 6-4, 2-0.
