ZAMBOANGA CITY: Three gunmen, one of them a village chieftain, surrendered to the military following an intensified manhunt by security forces in the Muslim province of Basilan in southern Philippines, an army commander said Thursday, November 2.
Brig. Gen. Alvin Luzon, commander of the 101st Infantry Brigade, said the trio, led by Abdullah Panglias, voluntarily surrendered and handed over an automatic rifle and a pistol.
