THE 19 municipalities and three cities in the province of Bulacan have rejected the proposal to make the City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM) a highly urbanized city (HUC) during a plebiscite held simultaneously with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) 2023 on Monday, October 30.
Based on the official result from the certificate of canvass released by the board of canvassers of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Bulacan, about 820,385 registered Bulacan voters said "No" to the proposal, while 620,707 voted "Yes."
