MANILA, Philippines: Although a low-pressure area (LPA) off Catanduanes is expected to dissipate in 24 hours, it is still affecting parts of the country, including Metro Manila, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday, All Saints' Day.
Weather specialist Obet Badrina said the LPA, along with the shear line - where the hot and cold air converges - is also bringing overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over mainland Isabela, Bulacan, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), Marinduque and Camarines Norte.
