DHL invests $371M, bolster SE Asia supply chains

DHL Supply Chain, the global market leader for contract logistics solutions, has committed 350 million euros ($371 million) in investment to expand the warehousing capacity, workforce, and sustainability initiatives in Southeast Asia over the next five years.

DHL Supply Chain plans to increase its warehouse space in Southeast Asia by 25 percent, adding 400,000 square meters. Notable investments include a 40,000-square-meter DHL Maheswara Green Logistics facility in West Java, Indonesia; the 18,000-square-meter Penang Logistics Hub 5 (PLH5) in Malaysia; a 50,000-square-meter built-to-suit facility in the Philippines; and 60,000 square meters of space acquired from a local business in Singapore.
