THE EcoWaste Coalition appealed to all parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury to draw up an agreement that would lead to the elimination of all mercury-added cosmetics, including banning such products in e-commerce.

The group made the call as delegates to the Fifth Conference of the Parties (COP5) to the Minamata Convention meet in Geneva, Switzerland on October 30 to urge countries to phase out mercury-laced products, ban the opening of new mercury mines, and limit the emission of mercury into the environment.
