Philippines, Iran sign executive agreement on cultural programs

Victorino Mapa Manalo, chairman of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) of the Republic of the Philippines, and Hojatol Islam Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, chairman of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, signed the executive agreement on holding programs on cultural and artistic collaborations between Iran and the Philippines.

Hojat al-Islam Imanipour stated that Iran and the Philippines will soon celebrate their 60th year anniversary of relationship, and they are ready to provide the grounds for cultural events between the two countries. He expressed hope that this cultural memorandum would provide new opportunities for collaboration between the two nations, but noted that there is a lack of sufficient information between the people of the two nations.
