DENR cites need to restore Pag-asa Island

THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) led the inspection of the dead corals off Pag-asa Island and discussed plans to expand the research and monitoring on the island and nearby areas.

Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga led the visit to Sandy Cay 2 on October 23, following previous reports showing that dead and crushed corals were dumped and covered the island.
