SEN. Christopher "Bong" Go has filed Senate Bill 427, also known as the "Barangay Health Workers Compensation Act," which mandates job security and other benefits for barangay (village) health workers.
"Our barangay health workers performed a very important role during the pandemic. We will not reach this stage of our Covid response if not for their sacrifices. They were the ones who assisted the barangay... they were the ones who helped prevent the spread of the disease," Go said on Tuesday, October 24, while visiting civic projects he supported in Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
