RAMON, Isabela: The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) said fisheries production in the region is expected to double following the launching of the 12 units of prime-grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fish cages worth P11 million in Magat Dam here.
The BFAR Region 2 said this anti-ultraviolet flexy type of floating cages, launched on Oct. 24, 2023, will benefit the members of the seven fisherfolk associations here in particular and the fisheries industry in the region in general.
